INTRODUCTION
Thanks to the presence of the Divine Rabbi who has provided an abundance of grace and the gifts, prayers and peace be poured upon us Junjunan Muhammad, his family, his companions and his followers until the end.
           Finally, the authors have created a paper with the title "tobe" to fulfill the English language courses.
Criticism and advice is always disposed to support the writers associated with the literary content of the writing. Finally, just a step that we surrender to God, I hope this writing for education in general and in particular on all of us.

PRELIMINARY
A.  Background
English is the international language. By mastering the English language well, then we will be able to communicate with other nations in the world. In addition, we will be able to add insight and knowledge for the progress of our nation and our country, because we will be able to read English literature, listening to radio broadcasts abroad, as well as films the other sciences. Thus, in the end we can master the knowledge-knowledge in all fields.

Each language musthave rules orwe often refer to as the grammar of each, as well as in English, there are many rules that must be considered in their use, especially in the field of writing. Andthe rules -the rules are also not free from the auxiliary verb. Therefore, we will then discuss is about the "To Be".That explanationwill be presented in the next chapter.

B.Problem Identification
In this paper we summarize some of which we discuss, namely:

·        What is To Be and how for example?

·        How to shape - the shape to be, as well as an example?

·        How the division to be and example?

C.Destination

From the identification of the problems mentioned above, the authorscertainly aimed to clarify or explainthese points, according to the knowledge we have obtained, either from booksor from the source of our teachers. Hopefully all provide benefits for us. If there is an error writing or words in this paper, the authors apologizeprofusely.


CHAPTER II

DISCUSSION

A.  Definition
To beis the word aids usuallyincluded in a sentence. Such an affirmation on thesubject and said the words that follow. To be able to be interpreted there, is, sometimesoften not defined.

B. Function

·        As a Linking Verb or conjunctions.
·        As a condition of the formation of sentences continuous / progressive
·        (events that happened today or in the past and are valid)
·        As a condition of manufacture of passive sentences.


C. Shape - the shape To be

·        The original form (bare form): be.
·        Forms to -1 (present form): am, are, is.
·        Forms to -2 (past form): was, were.
·        Forms to -3 (perfect form): been.
·        Forms to -4 (continuous / progressive form): be, being.











1.     Be

Used in the future tense sentence

Example:
My father will be buying a new car. (Future continuous)
He would be there for you. (Past future tense)

2.     Am, are, is
Present Tense
I am

Example :
1.     I am a girl. (Simple present tense)
2.     They are making many cake. (Present continuous tense)
3.     The window is cleaned by Susi. (Simple present tense  in passive voice)

4.     Was/were
Past Tense

Example :
1.     I was a teacher yesterday. (Simple past tense)
2.     They were running here every morning. (Past continuous tense)
3.     She was wrote the letter. (Simple past  tense)

4. Been
As liaison to the sentences in the perfect form.
Example :
1.     We had been in Surabaya before. (present perfect)
2.     I had been staying here since 1991. (past perfect continuous)
3.     She has been watching TV the whole night. (present perfect continuous)
5. Being
Function asa liaison word in the sentence (Continuous /Progressive form).
Example :
1.     The rice was being cooked by Susi. (past continuous in passive)
2.     The meeting was being attended by them yesterday.
A Kind Of To Be
A kind of to be is : am, are, is, was, were, have, has, had, do, does, did.

3.     Have/ Has/Had
Function:
·        Perfect tense is used in the sentence.
·        Have to plural subject, (I, you, we, they)
·        Has for a single subject, (he, she, it)
·        Had to all subjects.
Example :
Present perfect
1.     I have swept the floor.
2.     Fandi has shot the bird in the jungle.
Past perfect
1.     We had given the prize to Riska.
3.     Do/does/did
Function:
·       As an auxiliary verbin negative, interrogative, and negative interrogativesentence.
·       Do used for plural subjects.
·       Does used for a single subject.
·       Did used for allsubjects.


Example :
1.     We do not read the book.
2.     She didnot bite my hand.
3.     Does she drank a glass of tea ?
ØYes, she does.
ØNo, she doesnot.








CHAPTER III
CONCLUTION
Similarly, we candescribe the material that is the subject of this paper, of course, there are still many shortcomings and weaknesses, because they lack the knowledge and the lack of reference or the referencehas to do with the title of this paper.
Author much hope dear readers Dusi give constructive criticism and suggestions to the author of this paper and for the sake of perfection andwriting papers onoccasion - the next opportunity. Hopefully this paper is useful for writersin particular are also dear readers in general.
