A Places in the Home
You probably already know the names of most rooms and locations in a typical home. Here are some less common ones and what they are for.

Basement | Room below ground level, windows, for living or working |
Landing room | Flat area at the top of a staircase. |
Hall room | Open area as you come to house. |
Porch room | Covered area before an entrance-door. |
Pantry or larder room | Large cupboard (usually big enough to walk into) for storing food. |
Terrace or patio | Paved area between house and garden for sitting and eating, etc. |
Study room | A room for reading or writing or studying in. |
Bath room | A room for take a bath. |
Kitchen | A room for cooking. |
Bed room | A room for sleep and take a rest, and take a nap. |
Living room | Large area for gather with the family. |
Garage | A room for storing transportations (car, bicycle, motor cycle,etc.) |
