First of all, praise be to Allah SWT, the lord of the universe because of his blesses and mercies so this simple paper could be finished in a few days. Don’t forget we send shalawat and taslim to the prophet, Muhammad SAW who has bring us from the darkness world to the creator of the universe.
Finally after a few days, I could finished this simple paper with the title “Sumpang Bita” that explain Sumpang Bita in future.
In the process of making this assignment, I really grateful to the friends who always gave their support. And also I would like maega thank to my Pangkep Culture Exploration teacher “MR.Yamin” on his guidance all this time.

INTRODUCTION
Indonesia has many archeological parks. One of them is located at Pangkep district area. The name of the archeological park is Sumpang Bita. Sumpang Bita archaeological Park is located at Sumpang Bita Village, Balocci District, Pangkep regency, South Sulawesi Province. In this area, there are two prehistoric caves which are Sumpang Bita cave and Bulu Sumi cave.
Sumpang Bita and Bulu Sumi cave are natural cave formed since ancient time. For the first time, Sumpang Bita cave found on 1931 by Frist and Paul Sarassin from Swiss. But, some say that Sumpang Bita cave found by a local named Lantara Dg Paduni on 1974.
Sumpang means door and Bita is a name of village that is located behind the cave. So, Sumpang Bita was the gate to the Bita’s village.
Sumpang bita cave is the largest cave at pangkep regency even at south sulawesi. The cave is facing to the east. Its oral cavity has 10 meters high,14 meters wide and 50 meters depth. The inner area divided into two large rooms and bounded by a middle rock wall. The function of this cave is as a ceremonial place and not as produced and got food.Astronomically, this cave is located in 280 meters above sea level. This cave was discovered in 1931 by the Frist and Paul Sarassin from Swiss.
Sumpang Bita in future
In the future, the development of Sumpang Bita is depend on the central government. If the government want to beautify this archeological park, the subordinate will develop the parks, such as add some havens along the stairs so the people can take a rest there when they feel tired to climb the stair.
Based on the issue from the person who don’t want her name known by the people,she said that now sumpang bita is construting to be an archaeological park that has a waterboom that the height is the same as the top of the cave oral at least and there is also a pool around the side of the stairs to leang sumpang bita because there are so much water source from the mountain in sumpang bita.
CONCLUSION
Sumpang Bita archeological parks who that located in Pangkep regency is very interested and unique. The creation of Toala people who make some art from nature materials like betel leaf. Then the betel leaf are in crash or in chewand mixed with a sticky material from clay(OKER) can carved a history.
For the governments it’s better if they give attention and think about how sumpang bita in future could be give some contribution to develope gazebo, stairs and add the tourgaits to the leang sumpang bita. This is the way to make sumpang bita could be famous in the society and become one of the archaeological park that has most visitor in the regency even in the country.
